Description Harry Fu 2008-04-21 03:08:10 UTC
Users can customize the welcome string that appears on the login screen via
gdmsetup. But it has no effect when the default "OpenSolaris 2008.05" theme is
choosed. It always displays "Welcome to [hostname]". It works fine for other
themes.
Comment 1 Harry Lu 2009-03-12 02:30:12 UTC
move to GNOME.
Comment 2 avazhang 2009-03-16 04:12:31 UTC
Match priority to severity.
Comment 3 Harry Lu 2009-03-24 03:26:39 UTC
Reassign to Halton to investigate and downgrade the severity as we are working
on the new GDM now.
Comment 4 Halton Huo 2009-05-05 23:12:28 UTC
GDM was rewritten during the GNOME 2.21 release cycle, please refer to
http://live.gnome.org/GDM/NewDesign.

This feature is not supported any more. We're working on newGDM to OpenSolaris.
So I'd say we won't fix this bug.
Comment 5 Halton Huo 2009-07-30 02:01:32 UTC
In new GDM does not support this feature AFAIK.

I'd like to close this bug as WONTFIX. If user complain it, please file bug on
GNOME community against GDM.
