Description Shawn Walker 2007-11-04 19:58:04 UTC
After installing the LiveCD on my Dell Inspiron 5150, the initial boot for the
system took several minutes due to the time required for SMF to build its
service database.

When a full installation is performed (which is the only option currently) we
should install a pre-generated version of the SMF service database to avoid
making the user wait for the first boot.

Either that, or this generation should happen (if possible) during the install
process.

6351623 was recently addressed in snv_84 and once we sync with that, I suspect
this issue can be closed.

This is indeed fixed as we've resynced with build 84.
