Description Dan Price 2008-09-10 16:51:59 UTC
Liane pointed out that the presence of the "Upgrading SMF Repository" message
at boot of the build 97 livecd is probably due to the build machine for the
microroot being downrev when the SMF repo is created using 'svccfg' as part of
the build. That's the guess at least.

Building this on a sufficiently new machine should make these messages go away.
Comment 1 Dave Miner 2008-09-11 08:34:20 UTC
Yes, that's the required change. I believe the build machine is still build
86. Assigning to Alan S.
Comment 2 Alan Steinberg 2008-09-11 08:44:58 UTC
What OS level would be deemed "sufficiently new"?

Also, in looking at the comments, it appears that this is just a nuisance
message, correct?
Comment 3 Karen Tung 2008-09-11 11:13:27 UTC
When we move to building the images using the new Distro Constructor.
You need to be running Open Solaris build 98. Yes, I know that's not
even available yet. So, when you run the new DC, you will definitely
be using a very result build of Solaris.
Comment 4 Alan Steinberg 2008-10-06 12:36:33 UTC
RE build system was upgraded to Nevada bld 98.
Comment 5 Alan Steinberg 2008-10-06 12:44:16 UTC
The messages no longer appear in OpenSolaris bld 99.
