According to http://opensolaris.org/os/project/caiman/files/AIinstallFinal.pdf installadm create-service -s option requires 'source image'. 'source image' is unclear and there is no reference what it is. In examples there is: ------------------------------------------- installadm create-service -s /tmp/image/OpenSolaris-2008-05_rc3.iso -i 135.134.133.0 -c 20 /tmp/newimage ------------------------------------------- this suggests iso of 2008.05 image, it would be fine if it was working. Only Autoinstall.iso as referenced in http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/caiman/auto_install/AI_install_server_setup.html is able to at least start booting. this is issue with installadm will update reference to another bugid as soon as i will log it
This sounds like a documentation bug... I'm moving it to opensolaris/documentation.
source image is being explained more clearly and examples are being revised in documentation for redelivery
document has been rewritten to explain these instructions clearly.
