Applications Occupy All Workspaces When In Full Screen Mode

This is somewhat of a corner case, but one I encounter a lot as a presenter. When my display is configured in TwinView (so both my laptop and the external display) and I put an OpenOffice presentation in full screen mode, the OpenOffice presentation remains on whatever workspace I switch to. This is somewhat of a drag as I normally switch to another workspace for demos. It only occurs when the display is configured for TwinView. The workaround is to save the presentation as a PDF (so maybe this is a problem with OpenOffice), however, with PDFs you loose any animations you may have. So another workaround is to exit full screen mode before switching workspaces.
If just noticed the same issue occurs when running a VirtualBox VM in Full Screen mode.
Sorry, my mistake. The issue doesn't occur with VirtualBox.
Brian, I believe you are using "NVIDIA X Server Settings". Have you been trying to click on checkbox: Make this the primary display for the X screen It's in the X Server Display Configuration/Display tab.
Hi Michal, I was using "NVIDIA X Server Settings", but now I'm using the Toshiba R600 which has the Intel graphics chip. I believe the problem still occurs, but I'll have to verify it the next time I'm using a projector (for some reason the problem doesn't occur when using an external display - just when using a projector). /Brian
I setup twinview on my ultra24 workstation (b131). I opened a ooo window at one display and made it maximized. I then switched to another workspace by clicking another workspace in workspace applet. The result is I switched to another workspace and because I have started any application on that workspace, it is empty (ooo remains to stay on the original workspace). But this test is on a workstation not a laptop so I will mark this bug as incomplete and wait for the feedback from the reporter.
Hi Jedy, Were you able to test this with an external projector (like those used for presentations)? That's the only time I've seen it occur. I'm going to be using a projector this weekend, so I'll try to remember to test this it with my R600. Thanks, Brian
OK, I've just tried this again with my Toshiba R600 (Intel graphics) and the problem still occurs.
